Your Needle Arts Gap Year (YNAGY) is a comprehensive, part-time, 8-month program crafted for aspiring fashion designers, creatives, and those passionate about mastering needle arts. The program offers 8 carefully designed courses, an additional bonus course, and exclusive benefits that provide real-world fashion industry skills and hands-on experiences in garment production, design, and textile work.

With small class sizes, one-on-one guidance, and access to industry-standard equipment, YNAGY provides the ideal environment to develop both technical skills and creative vision. Each YNAGY course has been selected and structured to give you foundational and advanced skills in fashion and textile arts. Here’s a look at the curriculum:

• Duration: 20 sessions, 2.5 hours each
• Days: Mondays & Thursdays
• Description: An introductory yet intensive course to kickstart your sewing journey, covering sewing machine basics, fundamental techniques, and essential stitching skills.

• Duration: 12 sessions, 3 hours each
• Description: Learn to draft patterns from scratch, enabling you to create custom garments. This course establishes the essential skills for anyone interested in professional garment design.

• Duration: 5 sessions, 3 hours each
• Description: Master the overlocker machine to achieve clean, professional finishes on garments. Essential for producing high-quality apparel.

• Duration: 5 sessions, 3 hours each
• Description: Develop your personal style and design a capsule wardrobe that reflects your unique aesthetic and practical sewing skills.

• Duration: 5 sessions, 3 hours each
• Description: Understand fabric properties, textures, and handling techniques. This course equips you to select and work with the right fabrics for each project.

• Duration: 5 sessions, 3 hours each
• Description: Learn digital design tools to create textile prints and experiment with color, patterns, and print techniques to develop custom fabric designs.

• Duration: 15 sessions, 3 hours each
