Are you a parent or guardian of a school leaver keen on a career in fashion design?
Did you know that roughly 2 thirds of students embarking on diplomas or degrees in fashion, drop out and never graduate?
This statistic is largely due to the fast pace and strenuous demands 1st years encounter when starting a fashion degree or diploma.
All our Gap Year attendees are now fashion graduates. In addition to our Gap Year program, we also offer a 22 week Fashion Design Crash Course - also perfectly suitable as a gap year experience, only half the time.
Equip your child with the necessary array of skills they will need to navigate the terrain. They will learn all about sewing, pattern making, design concepts, work ethics, digital design & sew much more.
Due to the huge time + financial investment required to start a business or even get a degree or diploma, this package can help to avoid costly mistakes or failed studies.
Our Gap Year also makes a great ad-on experience for tourists and voluntourists coming from abroad to enjoy our sunny city & beautiful beaches.
The studio is conveniently situated in the Gardens Shopping Center, which also has holiday apartments. Our Gap Year or Crash Course attendees can therefor stay basically in the same building, attend their courses, do their shopping, plan trips etc - all within a safe and secure environment.

Winter Fashion Design Crash Course July 2024

We designed this course after many of our course attendees came back wanting advice and info on how to start a label or business from their sewing skills.
Many had already lost lots of money from start-ups that failed due to lack of planning, market research and/or core skills.
We often have adults who attend our Gap Year, but we find that this 22 week program is ideal for people who are committed to starting a business and even school leavers who want to try before they buy.
