💬 We love vintage machines! But just like vintage cars, they sometimes need more than a polish. Please read below so you know exactly what to expect.
Labour Warranty
All workmanship is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of collection. If any issue arises that is directly related to the labour we carried out, we will attend to it at no additional labour charge.
Parts
Replacement parts are supplied according to availability and carry their own manufacturer or supplier warranty (where applicable). We cannot guarantee the longevity of existing or original parts.
Many vintage or older machines — especially those that have been standing unused for years — may develop latent faults that only show up after cleaning and once the machine is put back into regular use. These issues are not always visible at first and often reveal themselves only when the motor runs and the machine heats up.

"From the beautiful studio views to the yummy coffee and stellar vintage sewing machines, this is the best place to enjoy a break from technology and activate your creative and analytical brain.Liesel has a wealth of knowledge and a thorough curriculum, with immense attention to detail and amazing resources to learn from.I can highly recommend the intensive turbo course in particular for anyone looking to gain experience and expertise in the craft of sewing. You will learn many skills in a very short period of time. Definitely choose this if you’re up for a challenge!"
"The instructor, Liezel, is so sweet, she made the experience even better. I had a lot of fun yesterday getting to learn about the sewing machine and as a total beginner I can say that learning with Sew Much Fun is a breeze."
"During my stay in Cape Town, I discovered the Sew Much Fun Studio and joined the two-week sewing class. As a beginner, I wanted to improve my sewing skills and learn more about techniques, and I had a truly amazing experience!!!Liezel is an incredible teacher. She shared her talent and expertise with so much care and kindness. Her attention to detail and the precision of her work are really impressive. The classes were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow, even though English is not my first language.Throughout the course, I worked on several garments (skirts, dresses), and I even made a beautiful corset during the sew-along sessions. I especially loved those sessions, where I could connect with other creative people working on their own pieces, such a great way to learn and be inspired !!The studio is beautiful, with a lovely view of Table Mountain. I felt right at home there, calm, creative, and supported.I 100% recommend this experience, whether you’re making something for yourself, for a gift, or if you simply want to grow your sewing skills in a friendly and inspiring place.Thank you so much Liezel! 🌟🫶"

ABOUT US
The Sew Much Fun Studio was founded in 2012 as a place to slow down, work with your hands, and reconnect with creativity in a meaningful way.
We are a private needle arts atelier and creative club, offering carefully curated making experiences for adults who value quality, focus, and time spent doing something real.
In a world that feels increasingly fast, abstract, and disconnected, we believe that making things by hand matters. Sewing is not just a skill , it’s a way to think, to process, and to feel grounded. For many people, it becomes therapy in disguise: quiet, absorbing, and deeply satisfying.
Our Way of Working
We are not a school or an academy. There are no exams, certificates, or formal structures to navigate.
Instead, we offer immersive, small-group experiences where people learn by doing, at their own pace, in a calm and well-equipped studio. The emphasis is on process, attention, and craftsmanship - not rushing, not proving, not performing.
This is a space for serious hobbying: for people who are curious, committed, and interested in developing real skills without pressure or pretence.
What You’ll Find Here
The studio is designed as a welcoming, focused environment where people can make, experiment, and connect. You’ll find professional tools, thoughtful guidance, and a club-like atmosphere that encourages concentration as well as conversation.
Our experiences range from beginner-friendly making sessions to more advanced garment-focused pathways, alongside SewAlongs, studio access, and special workshops. Everything is shaped to feel practical, absorbing, and genuinely rewarding.
We also encourage a more considered relationship with clothing and textiles - valuing repair, longevity, and things made with care over speed and disposability.
